In addition to afore mentioned conditions, the machines are also subjected to clouds of stream & alkali fumes, placing greater emphasis on the machine lubrication system. Faster machines operating at higher loads & temperature need more reliable flow of oil to all lubricating points on the machine, not only to minimize friction but also dissipate heat from the bearings & protect them from the hostile environment. Effective lubricating is achieved by maintaining lubrication flow at exact flow will result in churning & overflow.
Shaan Lube’s Oil Flow Monitors are compact, rugged & reliable and are specially developed to precisely control & monitor the oil flow to the paper machine bearings. Our Oil Flow Monitors are specifically designed to measure the flow of viscous fluids and work on the variable area principle. The oil flows from bottom to top lifting the metal float in a transparent tube to be a point dependent upon the flow rate, until the upward & downward forces are counter balanced. The point where the float stabilizers is the oil flow, which can be read on the scale directly. The amount of oil flow is adjustable by means of a valve integral to its housing. We offer these Oil Flow Monitors in the range of 0.1 to 1.1 LPM & from 0.3 to 3 LPM. These are available in 2 or 4 outlet varieties. All the Oil Flow Monitors are calibrated prior to shipment.
